Oocha coocha bing bang bam, alakazy alakazam

I love my mom - thats pretty simple.  So, when I'm not on the boat, I've been doing my mothers nails every 2 weeks just with a gel manicure because her nails are super weak and tend to break easily.  She's actually made a lot of progress since starting her manicures - though this particular picture is still fairly early on.  She actually has a free edge though now!  No more nubs!  Anyway, her standard seems to be Gelish color "Oocha coocha bing bang bam, alakazy alakazam" so you'll see this shade a lot :)  Maybe i'll talk her into something new next time when i get home?  This is another one of my mom's manicures with a nice stamped accent finger on her ring fingers with Konad's White stamping polish.  :) Thanks mom!  They look great!

Whimsical pink glitter fade with silver bubbles

This set of nails is one of those sets that no matter how hard you try to capture the beauty of them, the photo just never does it justice.  I promise you, they're absolutely gorgeous in person.  This is a simple glitter fade with Light Elegance's Pink Diamond glitter gel and Sugar Coated glitter gel.  Two really really pretty pink shimmers.  They were finished off with the clear builder gel and then a stamped image of silver bubbles (which really dont show up in the picture but just add a little glitz in person).   All in all, a really easy set of nails to do, but with glam results :)  Thanks so much Julie for letting me create these for you!

Red Maple Leaf French

Hey everyone!
This is a set of hard gel nails that i did on my friend Ashley.  I used clear light elegance hard gel to do a fill on her previous.  The red french design is done with Gelish polish in "All Tied up - with a Bow".  I then used a silver striper to outline the french and black Konad stamping polish to stamp the maple leaf on the ring fingers. A nice simple design that will be easy to be changed out next time she gets her nails done.  It was a little early for fall nails, but they turned out great!

Whimsical Pink Gel Manicure

This is another one of those simple yet elegant designs that I love so much.  These are natural nails, with the exception of maybe 3 that we fixed up with a thin layer of hard gel.  After we got all the nails done, it was a simple Gel Polish manicure done with Gelish polishes and a simple stamp using Konad White Stamping polish on the ring fingers.  I dont remember what Plate number I used, but i do looooove this whispy seed stamp.  Reminds me of being a kid and making wishes.  Thanks Jen for letting me do your nails!  I <3 you and the nails too!

Barbie Bows

I'm not a pink girl, never have been, never will be.  But Maria is, and I had a ton of fun hanging out with her and doing these lovely nails.  And even for not liking pink, I've gotta say, I love them!  SHHH don't tell anyone!  These nails were sculpted using the reverse method.  aka, I did the base nailbed part of the nail first before sculpting the neon pink french part.  The pictures don't really do them justice... there's glitter in both the nail bed cover pink and the neon pink free edge.  Not to mention little rhinestones in the middle of the bows.  They're seriously darling.  These nails were done using all Light Elegance products as well as the bows being stamped with Konad stamping polish.  :)  Hope you like them!

Blue Plumeria Glitter French

This is another one of my happy acrylic/gel combination sets.  The base part of the nail is Young Nails cover pink and the tip of the french is Light Elegance's Periwinkle Blue glitter gel with an added layer of loose blue glitter on half the nails (I wanted them to have some depth).  Finally I stamped some plumeria flowers (my favorite) in Konad white stamping polish and topped it all off with a gel topcoat (Gelish).  Thanks again to my model Erin!  They looked Fab!  She didn't keep them on for long, but switched to a Gel manicure which is just more manageable for her job.  :)  You'll see that mani coming up sometime soon!

Black Lace French

This is another set of nails that is already up on Facebook.  The next post will be something completely new though :)  These nails are a combination of acrylic and gel.  The body of the nail is Young Nails Cover Pink acrylic and the black tip is actually a Gelish Gel Polish layered between her natural nail and a layer of Light Elegance clear sculptor gel (therefore making it strong).  The accent nails are pure YN cover pink acrylic with lace water decals from Dashing Diva.  These came out extremely elegant and Chauncy got a ton of compliments on them.  :) I kinda wish i had done them on myself!

Oh yeah, and check out those stellar smile lines.  Nice and crisp :)

Clockwork Bronze

Clockwork Bronze is a set of gel nails that I did on my very good friend Heidi Yosinski.  It was a little early in the season when we put these on here (end of August), but I'm still pretty in love with them.  It was done using Young Nails cover pink gel, LCN bronze glitter (which i honestly have no idea what the name of it is), and then topping it all off with clockwork stamps in Konad black and a Gelish topcoat.  I know, I know, I mix brand names like none-other!  But I have my favorites and i stick to them.  So what do you think?  Would you wear them?
Oh and the last picture is her glitter toes that I did.  Just Blue Gelish gel polish with glitter embedded and capped with clear.  :) They're waaaaay prettier than the picture shows.

Sweetness French Tips and a Guest Pet!

This one is super simple.  This is a set of Acrylic and Gel tips using colored glitter gel and cover pink acrylic.  The glitter gel is Light Elegance's Sweetness from this Summers glitter gel collection.  The pink cover acrylic is from Young nails.  And the cute little guy in the photos is Roo, Elysia's pet!  Thanks Elysia for letting me do your nails!

These are my current nails that I'm wearing on my trip back out to be a Pirate.  LE products with Gelish green polish and Young Nails loose glitter.  They turned out fantastic.  Oh yeah, and some cheetah print stamps :) LOOOOOVE these

Ocean Swirls - Gel Nails

I did a set similar to these in early 2011 before I truely understood how to do designs using gel colors and glitters.  These turned out beautifully, and I'm so glad I took the time to educate myself in how to properly work with gels... they're now my preference over acrylic.  But anyway, on to the nails.  I used Neon Blue gel painted from Light Elegance as well as a blue and white glitter gel from them.  My nail model was Ashley Cichowski and she couldn't be happier with how they turned out too :).  And frankly, they're some of my favorite nails now too :)
