As anyone who follows this blog knows, I lost my mind and decided to go to NailPro Sacramento, leaving only one day at home before heading out to sea for a month. What you don't know is that I really hadn't prepared for work at all before NailPro Sacramento... so Tuesday was a mad rush of paying bills, packing, and of course filling my nails. I gotta say girls, gels are completely winning me over at the moment. If they can survive the 4 week trip offshore, I may be sold for good. Anyway, with all the hustle and bustle, I ended up filling my nails Wednesday morning before going to the airport. Apparently I can fill my own nails using gels without even needing to file for shape afterward, and it only takes 30 minutes, maybe less. Just rough the nail up, bonder, 1 step gel, cure, and done... all sparkly and everything. Honestly, it doesn't get much better than that.
My "boat" nails for this trip are really really simple. Actually, all nails I do on myself are really really simple because I'm only ambidextrous to a certain point. I can do french, and french twists, and that's about it. And no, they're not boat themed, just nails that I'm wearing on the boat. Anyway, I was so in love with my green/blue sparkle gel nail that was done at NailPro Sacramento, that I decided to keep that and try to match the rest of my nails to it. So I filled my gel as normal, then got some black polish, blue/green sparkle polish, and a blue striper polish and went to town on my other 9 fingers while multitasking on hold on my cell phone. Let me tell you, polishing nails while holding a cell phone crammed between your ear and shoulder takes some patience. Anyway, here's the end product of all this shenanigans! Hope you enjoy! Look for some Halloween themed nails to be coming up soon!
