I'm going to apologize ahead of time. This is a pretty sub-standard post.
I got the idea from Nails Magazine and decided to make my own. Its really simple actually. You take plastic nail tips, glue them to an orange-wood stick, and then coat them with acrylic or gel. You're probably asking yourself: Why on earth would you do that? Creating nail pops enables you to practice nail art over and over again, without using a lot of nail tips. The addition of acrylic/gel to a regular plastic nail tip means that you can use acetone polish remover to remove a design if you don't like it, or if you're just ready to move on to a new design. This makes blogging for me about 100 times more environmentally friendly! (Go green!) For my nail pops I made a few clear tips and then a few painted french with Gelish (and then covered with gel). I've probably got about 15 of these made, and it should be all I need for quite a while. Here's a picture, sorry for the poor photo quality. I took the pictures at home before coming out to the boat and thought I had a decent one... apparently not.
Maybe next trip I'll even bring a few out to the boat so that I don't have to steal plastic spoons from the galley to decorate! Hindsight is 20/20. Ooooh well. Thanks for reading! I promise the next post will be better!
Keep your eyes open, I think I'm going to do a give-away soon! :) Cause everyone loves free stuff!
